“Thirsty Knights” sees acclaimed space rock/shoegaze band A Place to Bury Strangers and industrial blues act Buck Gooter joining forces for a mind-bending techno doom jam. As the two bands toured Europe in Spring 2018, some nights they’d join forces during the “disco cart” portion of Strangers’ headlining set to conjure an improvised sonic vortex. Recorded at various stops on the tour, these tracks capture the fuzzed-out psychedelia of A Place to Bury Strangers blended with Buck Gooter’s primal, chaotic energy as they turned Europe’s most respectable music clubs into grimy DIY rockholes just by being there. It is also Buck Gooter’s first release of new music since singer/guitarist and founding member Terry Turtle’s untimely passing in November 2019. --Calvin Pynn
